Counselling in Newbury and Marlborough

'People are disturbed not by events but by the view they take of them ' Epictetus (Philosopher)

At times, the pathway through life can be a challenge that we struggle to navigate.

This struggle can be triggered by any number of things: a loss, be it of a loved one, a job, or a sense of who we are, difficulties in our personal or professional relationships, or even just a feeling that something is deeply amiss.

Trying to live with any kind of anxiety, depression, stress or relationship issue can be both painful and deeply isolating.

Sometimes it is easier to open up to a stranger than to relatives or friends. Talking to a caring professional therapist who listens in a non-judgemental way and helps us find our own answers to problems can bring a welcome transparency to the way we think, feel and behave.

Therapy enables us to gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and our behaviour, which can in turn help us make meaningful changes to enhance our lives. I believe that finding the correct therapist with whom you feel at ease is the starting point for this therapeutic journey.
